The time is getting very close for the RCA Summer Show 2025. I will be exhibiting from the 19th to 22nd June. So do privately message me nearer the time if you want to find me. It will be on the Battersea campus in the Dyson, Woo and Studio Buildings at Hester Road. It runs 12-6pm each day, apart from 8pm finish on Friday 20th. Last entry is half an hour before closing time. MA print, painting, sculpture, ceramics, glass, jewellery, MFA and CAP. Please do come along and see the amazing work everyone has been working so hard to produce. #rca2025 @rcaprint

This is the start of a new work around pejorative words used to describe women. Words that put us down or in our place, sexualise us or make comment about our weight and looks. I’ve collected around 430 words so far that I’ve popped into categories where we are compared to animals, that are appearance based, age related, role related, sexually based etc. if you think you have experienced some of these words and have some unusual ones to offer please comment below and I’ll add them into the final piece @rcaprint Please forward to your girlfriends. The more words I have the more impactful the work will be in June. Watch this space!

New experiments for automata 2. All about motherhood and multiplicity. Wanted my ‘networked’ and ‘connectivity’ children to be made of human stuff. Couldn’t used oxygen, nitrogen or hydrogen so plumped for carbon. Initial screenprints didn’t work (see first 3 images) but I gradually figured it out. More to come in this series of twelve. #printmakersofinstagram #screnprinting #printmakingart #printmaking

Pink dyed plaster cast with laser cut letters and #papiermache person inspired by @thescatteredchairs. Just a poem to add and them more experimentation with #acrylic. The first proof is always like the first pancake but a few more tweaks and some mono printing and I these #lovebirds will be a winner. #linocut #handprinted #lovecards #printmaking #printmakersofinstagram #printmakingart

This new work highlighting issues of physical violence towards women, coercive control and domestic abuse is at the very beginning of its development. At present the test pieces are paper collages on laser cut, but eventually I hope to screenprint each piece in what will be my most technically challenging printmaking to date. These are the first 4 characters of 12. Watch as the work slowly progresses over the coming months and I try to make the pieces move.
